So I am moving into a new apartment soon, yay! I'm really excited because it's in a great area near a park with the cutest market right down the street — it feels like I've been warped in a time machine every time I go in there. I am going to have two small bedrooms (...with doors! An upgrade from my current abode, haha!), a tiny but cozy kitchen, tiled bathroom, central heat/AC, and tons of closet space. The complex was built in the 50's and each building has its own unique characteristics, style, and layout. Being as I will be moving soon, I've been looking at ideas on how to decorate my new space! And I thought I would share some of the cool inspirations I've found—here they are!

Smile!
So I found this really amazing camera shop called "Camera Doctor" where they collect and service old cameras, still develop film, have classes, and rent out their darkrooms! While I was there, I saw the most adorable aqua blue Brownie camera, and after a conversation with the owner, discovered that he had bought it from Randy of www.hawkeyemods.com.
I contacted Randy, and he was really great; you can customize your camera in many ways, and he personally puts it together for you. I absolutely had to order the same aqua color, which apparently is an extinct Krylon spraypaint that was commonly used to repair old Fender guitars! Randy bought the last few bottles in existence (he scoured eBay and even called Krylon), so there are only a few more left. And it's sad—this color is amazing! I am so excited to start taking pictures with this little guy!
This is a neat camera, but doesn't have all that much control. It is mainly intended for outdoor use, and has a single shutter speed. You view what the picture is going to look like by looking down from the top into the glass window (picture below). But if you wanted to take pictures at night, you can set it up on a tripod and hold the shutter open for as long as necessary (there are recommended times in the manual). So yeah, I am so excited!! Who needs instagram when you can have the real deal? lol :P

Bottled Up
For some weird reason, I just enjoy soft drinks out of a glass bottle more than plastic or aluminum. I know a Coke is a Coke no matter what you drink it from, but still...when I get the chance to buy a glass bottle I do, and I usually keep them too. One day I think they will make good centerpieces for a party or I might find something crafty do with with them as decorations around the house. Either way, I've been collecting them, and bottle caps too.
What do you like to collect? Do you have any ideas on decorating with glass bottles?

Oh the Vanity
I bought this 1950s vanity recently from Angel's Antiques in Auburn. It was in much better condition than others like it that I've seen, and I think the color of the wood goes well with the other furniture pieces that I have. I do already have a vanity, but I'm hoping to move in to a place soon with more than one room, so this is perfect!
