On the Road Again
The fact that I am moving soon is becoming more and more of a reality. Seeing all my things boxed up and my colorful walls painted back (living room above) is making me both a little nostalgic that I'll be leaving my first place, but also excited about my next adventure. Only about three more weeks! As much as I loved this house and all its idiosyncrasies, the new place is much cozier and comfier. The one I'm in now was built in the 1910s or earlier, whereas the one I'm moving to is from the 1950s, and seems to be upkept quite well. I also like the layout a lot more. The rooms are separated more distinctly and even though it has a smaller square footage, I think it will be ample room for me. Can't wait to post pictures!

Home is Where the Heart Is
I finally am officially moved in to my own place! My neighbors are really nice—the girl in the other side of my duplex is also a Dr. Who fan (so we're already planning on watching the next season together, haha!) and my other neighbor is always outside renovating the house next door (he also has chickens he lets out during the day).
This house is so cute and quirky—I am going to have so much fun decorating it. Unfortunately all my furniture is still in Chicago, so it will probably be awhile before my house actually looks like someone lives in it! But I brought as much as possible in my car. I've got things to cook with, and a bed to sleep on, so that's good enough for now :p
I love my bathroom too. It's small, but looks like it has the original tub (with feet and wrap around curtain!) and sink (only problem is the hot and cold water come from two separate spouts...which means no in between!).
I'm looking forward to finding some estate sales around here so I can put some things in my living room. I will definitely share if I find anything cool!

Sweet Homeward Bound
I wish I could post more the past few days, but I haven't been doing too much shopping lately. I'm packing up and getting ready to move back down south, to stay with my Grandmother for awhile. My mom's mom and my dad's mom live right next door to each other which is really nice and I'm looking forward to spending time with both of them. My Granny and I are going to sew some vintage patterns also while I'm there, so I will definitely post those when I get around to them. Hello South here I come! :p
